Barbara began in a catering company when she was young and continued her adult career working with caterers, country clubs, and hotels for the next 15 years gaining priceless experience helping couples create beautiful weddings. Barbara was a wedding planner before it became a popular business path. She realized that she could help more couples create their wedding dreams without working at a venue, she took a leap of faith and officially made Barbara’s Brides her full-time career in 1999.
Barbara considers it such a blessing to be able to help couples by bringing all their ideas or visions together in order to create a dream event. Barbara designs weddings based on what the couples love including favorite colors, their hobbies, favorite foods, decorating styles, and other unique touches. Seeing a couple’s elation on their wedding day makes Barbara grateful for following her own dreams and creating one of Austin’s top wedding consulting companies earning “The Knot Best of Weddings” for 12 years and the first planner in Austin to earn “The Knot Best of Wedding’s Hall of Fame”
